Coming in 2023: Blue Cross Member Rewards Added to PPO plans

In 2023, Member Rewards will be automatically included as part of the standard medical benefit for all current small and mid-sized Blue Cross PPO plans in Illinois.

The Members Reward program offers cash rewards to members when they shop for services or procedures, and select a low-cost, reward-eligible option. It uses the Provider-finder tool.

How it works:

First, the member searches on-line via the Provider-finder tool to find a reward-eligible location for a procedure or service. Then the member gets the service or procedure at their chosen reward-eligible location. Finally, the member receives a cash reward by check at home after the claim is paid and the location is verified as reward-eligible.

Member rewards offers an average savings of $527 per claim!
